Good bright and balanced with an even tone. I started using these almost 40 years ago. Somewhere over the years I changed and went through quite a few different brands and got hooked on D’Adarrio. Which I still like. Nonetheless, these are exceptionally bright and loud strings. I play Taylor acoustics. On one of my lower end, a 214 GA Deluxe, I had just about decided to sell it. I ordered these and all of a sudden I was hearing things I hadn’t heard before on that particular guitar. It brought out the sound like I had never heard before…

Easy to chord, and bright sound I got these for a cheap parlor guitar Ibanez pn19 (plywood), and they were a great improvement. Before I got these strings I had changed to a Bone Nut, Saddle, and Pins. That was an improvement, and these strings made it even better. If you like that bright sound, and easy playability I recommend these strings.

These Work Well on Acoustic/Electric I installed these on a relatively inexpensive Ovation acoustic/electric. The guitar unplugged is inherently not very loud, but the GHS strings seem to give it a little more projection for just noodling around the campfire or whatever. Through the Fishman pickups into the board into the band PA, though, the guitar sounds pretty darn good. Now if the player were as good as the guitar’s potential … well, excuse me while I go practice.
